
Brent joined MetCap Living in 1990 as Vice President of Finance after spending five years as a manager of Mergers & Acquisitions at Price Waterhouse. Promoted to MetCap Living’s Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President in 1998, he purchased the company in 2006. Brent works closely with his senior management team, and under his leadership MetCap Living Management Inc. has grown to be one of the largest independent residential management companies in the country with 20,000 residential units under management in four provinces. Brent sits on the FRPO Board and is an active member in the Multi-Family community.
Lucy joined MetCap in 1996 after nine years in public accounting. Lucy graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, Montreal, and became a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1990. Previously, Lucy held manager and director positions with MetCap Living. In her current position she is responsible for all financial reporting and controls of the organization.
Teresa comes to MetCap with a great deal of background experience. Teresa previously worked as the Vice-President, Finance and Reporting with Wells Fargo Financial Retail Services Inc. Her responsibilities included the overall direction and management of the Finance & Reporting department, which included strategic planning and workflow organization, budgets, forecasting and research. Teresa’s work experience has also included an Associate Director, Finance and Reporting position with the well-known Eaton Credit Corporation.
Teresa has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1988. Teresa also holds her Fellow of Credit Institute (FCI) from the Credit Institute of Canada.
Cathy joined MetCap in 2011. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce, where she specialized in Economics and Accounting. She is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and cash management for a large residential portfolio.
Cathy Lee became a proud member of Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario in 2006.
Shannon joined MetCap in 2012. She graduating from the University of Leicester, UK with Bachelor of Commerce and MBA, where she specialized in Marketing. She is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and cash management for a large residential portfolio.
Shannon Limfook became a proud member of Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario in 2008.
Bipul Kulshreshtha joined MetCap in September 2018 as a Controller, Finance. He is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and cash management for a large residential portfolio. Bipul has extensive accounting and financial experience, both overseas and in Canada. Most recently, he was the Director, Accounting and Reporting with Hudson’s Bay Company North America. His Canadian real estate experience as a Controller includes overseeing financial reporting and accounting for commercial and residential portfolios at Cushman & Wakefield Limited, CAP REIT, Morguard Corporation. He has also worked as a Controller with Philips Medical Systems Canada and Finance Manager with Direct Energy and Merrill Lynch. His experience also includes streamlining of processes, implementation of the accounting systems, acquisitions and SOX compliance. He holds Master of Commerce degree and is a Chartered Accountant.
Jelena joined the MetCap Living Team in 2007 as Accounts Payable and Cash Manager.
Prior to joining MetCap Living, Jelena was working in the payables department at the Trader Corporation, which includes companies such as Auto Trader, Yellow Pages and Renters News.
Jelena is responsible for the management of processing and payment of operation, capital and corporate expenditures, and control of the accounts payable department.
Jelena is a graduate of the University of Sarajevo and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Financial Management.
Danielle Budhoo joined MetCap in Oct 2022. She graduated from McMaster University with Bachelor of Arts (BA), where she specialized in Psychology and Anthropology.
Danielle has been working over a decade of building out Human Resources processes and functions.
Danielle Budhoo became a proud member of Human Resources Professional Association as Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL).
Farzana Dhalla joined MetCap as Corporate Controller in June 2022. She graduated from the Wilfrid Laurier University with a Honours Bachelor of Arts (HBA), where she specialized in Economics and Accounting.
Farzana’s background experience is in public accounting having worked with MNP LLP and most recently with Segal LLP as a Senior Manager where she has performed a wide range of taxation and assurance engagements across various industries for small and mid-sized clients. In addition to financial reporting and day to day operations of the corporate group, Farzana will have oversight on banking, internal controls, and tax compliance throughout the organization.
Farzana became a proud member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2013. She is a CPA, CA.
Gina Jayasekera joined the MetCap Living Team in November, 2022 as Payroll Manager.
Gina will be managing the payroll team, and overseeing payroll across all of our provinces, administering benefits, managing reporting to government bodies, and overall ensuring payroll compliance and optimizing our use of the payroll system. On top of all this, she will be our HR second-in-command.
Gina is an accomplished professional, holding her Certified Payroll Manager and Payroll Compliance Practitioner certifications from the Canadian Payroll Association. She is also a Certified Human Resources Professional with the HRPA and has a background in accounting.
Guy joined MetCap Living in 1988. He was responsible for raising or refinancing approximately $1 billion in mortgage financing. In his new position, he advises the president on all aspects of the partnership’s operations including those involving debt, equity and asset management.
Robert was formerly the Chief Financial Officer of Meadowcroft Holdings and has been a General Manager of a construction company and a Tax Manager. As a former member of the Ontario Long Term Care Association’s Financial Committee, Robert is intimately knowledgeable with all aspects of Ontario Ministry of Health funding and reporting as well as mortgage financing for long-term care and retirement living properties. As of 2004 Robert serves as VP at large of the OLTCA and Chairs the Association’s Task Force on E-Health. Today Robert works as a consultant in all operational aspects of MetCap Living’s Seniors’ Division.

As you may be aware, on March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) classified the COVID-19 virus (Novel Coronavirus) as a pandemic.
At MetCap Living, the health and safety of our Residents, Staff and properties is our priority. Under the direction of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), and other Government health agencies, we all must work together to reduce the risk of transmission of the COVID-19 virus in Canada.

COVID-19 is an illness caused by a coronavirus, which are common and typically associated with mild illnesses, similar to the common cold. However, COVID-19 can seriously impact the elderly or those with compromised immune systems.
Those who are infected with COVID-19 may have little to no symptoms. You may not know you have symptoms of COVID-19 because they are similar to a cold or flu. Symptoms may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure to COVID-19. For more information, visit canada.ca/coronavirus
If you become ill with COVID-19 symptoms, you should self-isolate. Stay home and avoid close contact with others, including those in your home. Contact Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 and your primary care provider’s office.
If you have cold or flu-like symptoms, whether or not you have tested positive for COVID-19, please be considerate of other residents and REFRAIN from visiting public facilities in our community, i.e. Management offices. We have created a COVID-19 Steering Committee (CSC) focused specifically on closely monitoring and responding to the COVID-19 situation and related developments.
